Social Impact at EFI

At EFI Furniture, we believe businesses have a responsibility to create meaningful, positive impact for the communities we serve. Our Social Impact Strategy outlines the commitments, values, and actions that guide how we support people, strengthen communities, and operate with fairness, respect, and responsibility. From inclusive employment to ethical supply chains and community partnerships, we strive to make a positive difference in every part of our business.

Our Social Impact Vision

EFI’s vision is to contribute to a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable future by embedding social responsibility into our people, operations, and partnerships. We aim to deliver long-term value that benefits our employees, customers, suppliers, the environment, and the broader community.

Our approach is grounded in three pillars: People. Community. Responsibility.

Inclusive Employment and Workforce Diversity

EFI is committed to creating a workplace where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

  • Flexible work arrangements

  • Tailored role adjustments

  • Mentoring and supportive supervision

  • Accessible, inclusive facilities

  • Career development and training pathways

Equal Opportunity Employment: EFI is an equal opportunity employer and does not tolerate discrimination of any kind. Our hiring practices actively support diversity across gender, age, culture, ethnicity, and background.

Safe and Healthy Workplaces: We maintain strong Work Health & Safety systems and invest in employee wellbeing programs to ensure every team member feels valued, supported, and safe.

Reconciliation Action Plan

EFI Furniture is committed to advancing reconciliation and creating long-term, meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our Indigenous Strategy is guided by our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Policy, which focuses on four pillars:

1. Relationships:

Building respectful partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, suppliers, and organisations through ongoing engagement, consultation and collaboration.

2. Respect:

Embedding cultural respect across the business by providing cultural awareness training, incorporating Acknowledgement of Country into EFI spaces and communications, and educating staff on First Nations histories, cultures and protocols.

3. Opportunities:

Expanding economic participation through Indigenous employment pathways, supplier engagement, and community partnerships.

4. Governance:

Establishing an internal RAP working group to oversee commitments, track progress, and ensure continuous improvement.

This strategy reflects EFI’s commitment to reconciliation and supports our long-term goal of contributing meaningfully to equity and inclusion for First Nations peoples.
